  1. i am very gratified to Wendell for enlightening those of us who are new to the Indian country we are so blessed to live in. Knowing the authenticate and full history, and being exposed to the native ways, enriches us all and makes us more mindful of protecting this beautiful we live in. Smoker Marchand’s artwork is beautiful and I want to see more of it in NCW. I would love to see a permanent outdoor cultural center celebrating the Indian history somewhere along the Columbia, Wenatchee, Entiat, or Methow Rivers so the young people of today can be exposed to this history and culture.

  2. I appreciate your comment Bob and you have a great idea. My friend and fellow tribal member, Arnie Marchand, has been pushing for that for a long time. He and I have been talking to some of the tribal casino people about alternative uses for the present Okanogan casino when the new one opens in May. We think that a combination museum and Convention center would be a very successful project. Arnie will probably respond to this when he sees it.
